Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most from North Alabama property owners.

Cost depends on acreage, vegetation density, terrain, and access to the property. We provide free, no-obligation on-site estimates so you get an accurate number based on your actual land — not a generic per-acre guess.

Forestry mulching grinds trees, brush, and stumps into mulch that stays on the ground, protecting topsoil and enriching the soil as it breaks down. Bulldozing pushes everything into piles that need to be burned or hauled away, and it tears up the ground in the process. Mulching is faster, cleaner, and leaves your land ready to use immediately.

Most residential and small acreage jobs are completed within a few days once we're on-site, and we can usually get a crew scheduled within 1–2 weeks of booking. Larger multi-acre or commercial projects are scoped individually during your estimate.

Our mulching equipment handles trees up to about 8 inches in diameter, along with dense brush, saplings, and invasive vegetation. Larger trees may need to be addressed separately — we'll flag anything like that during your on-site estimate.

With forestry mulching, debris is ground into mulch and left on-site — there's no hauling or burning required. If a project calls for debris removal instead (for example, larger felled timber), we'll discuss that as part of your quote.

We primarily serve Madison County and the greater Huntsville metro area, including New Market, Gurley, Owens Cross Roads, Hazel Green, Meridianville, and Madison. If you're elsewhere in North Alabama, give us a call — there's a good chance we can still get to you.

Yes. Red Clay Land Service operates as a licensed, insured land clearing company, and we're veteran-owned and operated. We're happy to discuss coverage details during your estimate if you need documentation for a project or contract.

We work on everything from small residential lots to large multi-hundred-acre tracts. There's no strict minimum or maximum — every job gets the same attention regardless of size.

You don't have to be present for either, though we're happy to walk the property with you if you'd like. Many clients simply share property details and access instructions, and we handle the rest.

The fastest way is to request a free quote online or call/text us directly. We'll typically respond the same day to schedule a free, no-obligation on-site estimate.
